Here is a pic of the view
from our room at the Amplatz Children’s Hospital. I think I forgot to mention what happened
with our room change. At 1st
we were in the very end room & we couldn’t get the blind to go up. I had told a few people about it & they
had tried to get it to work but couldn’t.
Dr. Chinakolta came to see Alexa on Mon while we were down getting her procedure
done & Ty was in the room waiting for us.
He talked to him & told him that we needed to keep the blinds up in
the day time & try our best to keep movies on & things to keep Alexa
distracted from the pain. Ty told him
that the blinds were broken & he immediately told them to get us a new
room. He went on about how important it
is that Alexa be able to see out & enjoy the beautiful view! When we got back we were so surprised to find
everything moved! It also confused all
the doctors who came to see us. Tonight
before I left to come back to the RMH one of the nurses from the NICU that
Alexa had a few times came to visit her.
We thought it was so funny that Alexa didn’t remember her cuz she kept
insisting so many times that she would remember every single thing about
NICU. I was so nice of her to come &
check on us & as we talked Alexa did start to remember her. Today has been a much better day than
yesterday & we celebrated when they checked her blood sugar last & it
was back down & they didn’t have to give her any more insulin. Her pain has been kept under better control
today so hopefully Ty & her will be able to get some rest. I’d better go so I can get mine too.
